How To Heal Acne From The Inside Out

STEP 1

Find out what’s triggering your acne

While aestheticians are highly trained in treating acne, you may need further testing for hormone imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, gut bacteria etc. to find the root cause.

A Functional Medicine Practitioner can run tests to see what’s causing imbalances if you have any. I know that for myself, after having babies, my hormones were way out of wack. So for general hormone balance and antioxidant support, I use Protea’s Baseline+. exclusive blend of nutrients designed to support healthy female hormone levels. Benefits include weight management, a healthy complexion, and increased energy and focus. Look forward to decreased bloating and improved mood with Baseline+. But don’t just take my word for it, go look at the reviews!

STEP 2

Look into what you’re putting into your body

How is the quality of the food you’re eating? Most of the foods we eat now are HIGHLY processed. Processed foods not only lack the nutrients we need but also cause inflammation in our bodies.

Try sticking to whole (or real) foods as much as you can. Even with a clean diet, you may not be getting all the proper nutrition your body needs, which is why I supplement with Protea’s Vibrant+ supplement drink. It’s an exclusive blend of micronutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins from reds, greens, digestive enzymes, and probiotics to help improve your overall health and fight free radicals.

STEP 3

Drink more water than you think

Many people think they’re drinking enough water in a day when in reality they’re not. Not only that but if you’re drinking purified water, then the vitamins and minerals that naturally occur in water have actually been removed!

If you only drink purified water instead of natural spring water, then the best way to replace those natural minerals is to add a little lemon and salt to your water.

STEP 4

Move your body Regularly

Sweating is a big part of the detoxification process. This is a natural way for our bodies to release any toxins we have in our bodies. Any sweating you can do is helpful, but my favorites are traditional weightlifting, infra-red hot sauna, or hot yoga!

While I work out, I also make sure to replenish my muscles and hydrate with Protea’s Vegan Aminos. Their aminos actually contain a Beauty Blend of Proline and Glycine, which are amino acids that the body uses to facilitate natural collagen production. Collagen supports healthy joints, hair, skin, nails, and connective tissues.
