What does self care look like to you? Do you practice it?
Self care can be:
Like most moms, since I’ve become a mom, I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices. My day no longer revolves around me or my wants. It starts and ends with a little boy counting on me and has my husbands needs sprinkled in-between. But to be the best mom and wife I can be, I have to take care of myself too.
For me, self care is carving time out of my day at 4am to workout, spending time with God, getting my nails done, and just recently — investing in my skin at Silk Skin & Body Spa in Belton, Texas.
I may still be a little pink from yesterday’s eMatrix laser skin resurfacing treatment (swipe to see during treatment and immediately after), but in 1-2 more days, my skin will look like new. It tightens pores, improves skin texture, reduces the appearance of mild to moderate wrinkles, acne scarring and brightens the skin.
Mommas, it’s hard to fill someone else’s cup when yours is almost empty. You pour everything into your family; you deserve to pour into yourself too. Take some time today and give yourself a little self care. <3
